FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”. Each year the team gets a new challenge to work on. Robotics teams are challenged not only to build a robot, but also write business plans, create promotional material and manage a website. Each season we compete in a regional competition, hoping to make it to nationals!
Our team is meeting every Tuesday in the engineering wing near the field house, in room 149, at 6:30 pm. If you are interesting in joining, stop on by.
Our first event of the year was a mock competition last Saturday at the State Fair Grounds. 14 teams met and competed against one another, in exhibition and elimination matches. Our robot was picked first in the elimination alliance selection, though unfortunately we lost to another alliance in the first round.
